Sounds like your house has a bad ground connection. When you draw a lot of current, it’s pulling everything off balance. 110v is half of a 240v circuit, and if your grounding is bad, the voltages float, which could explain why the fridge is tripping. You really need an electrician to check it out.
You need a licensed electrician to check this out. It sounds like a corner-cutting issue, and it could be a serious safety risk. My guess is something’s wrong with the ground or neutral. Safety first, charging second!
Sounds like the previous owner did something sketchy, like running two circuits in the same conduit and crossing neutrals. That could explain the GFCI trip when the car draws power.
