Great pickup! Before my 2023 EV6, the only new car I’d ever bought was an ‘83 Rabbit GTI. That car made me smile like this one does!
I own a Chevy Bolt, but I’ve been eyeing the EV6. I feel like a traitor!

My dad has a Bolt EUV, and he’s most jealous about the DC Fast Charging on the EV6.

I rented a Bolt before getting my EV6 and was so frustrated with its charging speed. I had to explain to someone at the charger that the 150 kW station was more than enough for the Bolt, even though they were using the 350 kW one.

Same here. Currently searching for an EV6 or Ioniq 5 under $25k.

I found an EV6 Wind AWD for $23k with 28k miles. It’s wild that Bolts are selling for more than that!
@jessicah
I’d go for either, but yeah, EV6 is my preference.
@jessicah
Make sure to sit in both the Ioniq 5 and EV6. They feel very different from the driver’s seat. The EV6 feels more like you’re in a cockpit, which some people find a bit cramped compared to the open feel of the Ioniq 5.
@chozen
I think I’d prefer the EV6’s seating position. What’s up with the door handles though?

On lower trims, you have to push the door handle in with your thumb before pulling it out. It’s not a big deal, but it was enough to be a dealbreaker for me. The Ioniq 5 has auto-extending handles on all trims.

Oh, like the Tesla Model 3/Y? I’ll have to check them out.

Exactly! It’s not too bad unless your hands are full, then it becomes a hassle.

I’m actually looking at the Wind trim for the same reason! I don’t love the auto-extending handles on my wife’s Ioniq 6. Plus, I want the tech package but not a glass roof.
That’s a great color! I have an Ioniq 6 in blue, but I’ve thought about the EV6 for my next car. I just wish they had more exciting colors!

The Bolt is a great ‘starter EV.’ I’ve put 150k miles on mine.
I came from a 6MT MK6 TDI Sportwagen with some GTI parts. Just got my EV6 GT and haven’t touched the Sportwagen since.
I’m waiting for the 36-month lease returns too. Glad to hear it’s making you smile like a GTI!
How much did you pay for it? Insurance for Kia EVs in Seattle is insane… I got quoted $300+ a month for a base 2024 EV6.

I had to switch from Mercury to GEICO when I got my used ‘22 EV6. My rates dropped from $250 to $150 a month. Kia’s recent theft issue didn’t help, even though it doesn’t affect EVs.
