I’m looking to get these for my Mach-E, but I’m curious about how they perform for EV6 owners. Are they durable? How do they handle noise and wet weather?
No issues here, at 26k miles and still have good tread left. I do tend to drive more conservatively, though.
The tread is holding up well and they’re quiet on the road. However, wet weather handling is pretty bad, especially when it’s close to freezing. Probably a lot of silica in these tires. They’re okay in dry conditions, but I might go for stickier non-EV tires next time and accept the range loss.
@Connie
I just replaced my tires with these, and they are awful in the rain here in the PNW. I might need to replace them again soon—it’s that bad.

I’m in the PNW too and drop the pressure to 30 psi in winter to help a bit.
They’re fine in dry conditions, but wet handling isn’t great. I’m planning to switch to a different tire once these wear out, though they’re lasting a while since I use Blizzaks in the winter.
They’re fine on dry roads. It doesn’t rain often where I live, but when it does, I’ve found it surprisingly hard to lose traction with these tires when they’re new.
I had to replace mine at around 33k miles after the foam inside came loose. It threw off the alignment even after multiple attempts to fix it. The ride improved after replacing them.

Glad to hear it improved after the replacement. Were the new ones also Kumho, or did you switch brands?
They’re terrible in the wet. I’ve even accidentally drifted while trying to accelerate out of parking lots. They don’t feel planted at all. They’re fine on the highway, but I wouldn’t recommend them overall. 3/10.
Mine lasted about 35k miles. I replaced them with Phantom C-Sports from Discount Tire and have been much happier.
They wore out at 21k miles. They handled okay in light snow but were dangerously slick in the rain. I switched to Michelin CrossClimate 2s and have been much happier after 4k miles on those.
Good grip in dry conditions, but just okay in wet. The factory EV version has a foam insert for noise reduction, but some owners (myself included) have had issues with the foam coming loose and causing vibrations. They also wear out fast—I’m down to 5/32 after 18k miles. Wouldn’t recommend due to cost per mile.
@izael
Thanks for the input. Sounds like they’re not great in the rain and wear quickly. I’ll pass on these.
I like them in everything except snow.
