How can I add missing charger locations to my EV map?

Hey everyone! I tried searching but couldn’t find a clear answer. I’m looking at the built-in navigation map in my EV, trying to add chargers as POIs for some longer winter routes to make sure my battery gets preconditioned.

I noticed that some chargers on my usual turnpike route aren’t listed, even though they’re Electrify America chargers. Seems weird, right?

Is there a way to request missing chargers to be added to the map? Appreciate any advice!

One workaround is to navigate to a different fast charger on the built-in nav, then use your phone for directions to the one you actually want. Not perfect, but it works!

KIA: seriously, please just give us a “condition battery” button!

@Jason
Yeah, but this only helps if the other fast charger is close enough to the one you want, right? I think preconditioning only starts when you’re about 10-20 minutes away.

Also, if you’re using Android Auto, it cancels the vehicle nav as soon as you start routing with your phone, which makes it a hassle.

Looks like Kia uses HERE maps, so you might need to report the missing location directly to them. They’ll have to update and push the info to Kia, who would then release a map update.

You can report errors here if that helps: Can I report errors/suggest edits for HERE maps directly through the WeGo app? : HERE

Assuming HERE provides charger data, this should work. Otherwise, if Kia gets it straight from Electrify America, we might just have to wait.
