How did I do on my EV6 lease deal?

I used the Tesla conquest discount to lease a KIA EV6 Light Long Range RWD. Here are the details:

  • 24 months / 10,000 miles per year
  • DAS: $1500
  • Monthly: $217 + tax

How does this look to everyone? Does it seem like a good deal?

The monthly payment looks solid, but it depends on the discount you got on the car itself (not just the lease cash from Kia Finance). Dealer discount can help lower that payment even more.

Also, you paid $1283 more than your monthly payment at signing, which isn’t usually recommended for leases because if the car is totaled or stolen, you don’t get that money back. It’s safer to roll that into the lease. If you did that, your monthly payment would go up by around $54-55 to $272+tax, which would still be a great deal.

I agree it’s better to do $0 down if possible, but it doesn’t always work out to the same total. In my case, putting $1500 down saved me more than rolling it into the lease. It depends on the deal, but I wasn’t too worried about losing the extra $1200ish if something happened to the car.

@martin
How did you come to $80 more per month? The MF (money factor) on EV6 leases is low, like less than 3% interest. $1283 spread over 24 months should be around $53.46/month. An $80 increase seems too high, unless there are other factors like taxes or fees being rolled in.

@Maria
That’s just the option I was given by the broker I used. I think they might have had limited options for the financing plans they could offer. If I had the option to only pay $53 more a month, I would’ve done that, but I was happy with the deal overall.

@martin
Got it, fair enough. Either way, I think you still got a good deal.

Edit: I just realized I thought I was replying to the original post, haha.

No worries! My deal was $1500 DAS and $257/month + tax for a GT-Line RWD, 24 months / 10k miles.

@martin
Now that is an amazing deal. I’m planning to lease a 2025 GT-Line AWD and hoping to keep my monthly payment under $500 including taxes, with $0 down. It’ll take some good lease cash and discounts to get there.

@Maria
I recommend going through a broker (I found mine on Leasehackr). I had to pay a broker fee, but none of the dealerships could match the price.

I’ll definitely check Leasehackr. Do you find brokers listed on the site, or do you post what you’re looking for and they reach out?
