Looks like my car’s ICCU might have failed. I’ve kept up with all the software updates to prevent the “charging interrupted” notifications, but this time it feels like a real issue. Both Level 1 and Level 2 chargers fail as soon as I plug in, and I’m getting error code P0D5C.
Anyone know if this is likely an ICCU failure? And what kind of repair wait times should I expect? I’m sitting here with just 26 miles of range left
My ICCU repair took about a month to get the part, then a few days to install the update. Unfortunately, the first dealership forgot that part, so I had to go to a second one, and they ended up causing damage to the door that added three more weeks. Now, it’s at a third dealership because the 12v battery keeps dying. They initially thought it needed a battery management update from January 2024, but that didn’t fix it. Now they’re thinking the touchscreen might be draining it, so they’ve disconnected it to test.
The car’s app stopped working right after I last talked to the service advisor, which likely means the 12v battery died again, or maybe the disconnected touchscreen caused it. It’s frustrating since I’ve barely had my EV6 in the nine months I’ve owned it. Right now, my estimated wait for EV6 repairs is indefinite. Hopefully, others have better luck.
@jeff
I feel your pain. I’ve had my EV6 for two years, and it’s been in the shop for at least six months dealing with various charging and battery issues. They’ve replaced the charging port, HV wiring assembly, around $5,000 in battery cells, and now I’m dealing with this ICCU issue.
