The car type matters. In one-pedal driving, you get max regen without using friction brakes until almost stopped.
Knowing your car’s braking system helps too.

That depends on the car.
I can’t adjust regen in my Tesla, but I enjoy playing around with it when stopping.
People blame rear tire wear on regen, but it’s usually due to aggressive braking. I average 40k miles on my rear tires!
