Awesome! What else could you electrify at home? Telling the gas company ‘bye’ is the best feeling.

Heat pumps and induction for the win!

Got solar, batteries, induction, and two EVs! Tried to install a heat pump water heater but no good spot for it. Got quoted $14k, so might just stick with my old tankless for now.

Turned off our gas almost two years ago. Slowly replacing everything, and next up is the dryer, which is from 2013.

Lawn care.
Same here! We’ve had four EVs over time, but right now we’ve got:
2024 Mach-E Rally
2024 Equinox EV 3LT AWD

How’s the software on the Chevy? Do you update over cell or WiFi?
@Nathan
It’s actually good! So far, it’s better than my Mach-E’s. Updates have been over cell.

Trying to decide between the two, lol. How’s the screen and software experience?
Awesome going fully electric with solar! Enjoy those savings.
What deal did you get? Where?

Found it at a BMW dealer nearby (we’re in SoCal). 2019 Niro with 40k miles and sitting there for a couple of months, so they dropped it $2k to move it, which almost matched what we’d get for our Outback. Went in Sunday and grabbed it. It’s the EX premium in good shape with some interior badge stickers and plastic still on!
@Connie
I have the same model! How’s it compare to the EV6?

EV6 definitely has more space, charges faster, and feels zippier! We looked at both but went with the EV6 since it felt like a bit more for the money. But the Niro’s been great and will probably be perfect for our daughter when she starts driving.
@Connie
Sounds like someone upgraded to an i4 or ix.
@Connie
Blue book says about $14,500.
Same here, just waiting for that ‘apocalyptic wave’ everyone warns me about… ‘what if there’s no electricity??’

Been through two hurricanes in Florida this year. Charged to 100% before the storm and kept it at my usual driving (30-40 miles/day). After five days with no power, still had around 30%! Meanwhile, my wife waited hours for gas in her Buick.
@sorphia
Waiting to see all the gas cars struggling with water in their tanks during floods, while rain just rinses my solar panels! Have about 102 kWh in my driveway for emergencies.
