Another Rivian vs EV9 question

Wanted to add something about road trips… EV9 has better thermal management, so you won’t have issues like Rivian’s long preconditioning times. But Rivian has the RAN network, which is a plus—though that should open up to other EVs soon.

OP, you should test-drive both and make an informed decision. Both are great EVs.

R1S wins in software and storage, but I don’t want air suspension (it’s more prone to breaking and expensive to repair). I also want more cabin space, so I’d go with the EV9. Also, the Rivian’s premium sound system is awful. The EV9’s isn’t great, but it’s better than the Rivian’s.

I test-drove both. I would have gone with the Rivian, but it was $28k more than a similarly spec’d EV9.

Too many threads about Rivians bricking and their service being unavailable for weeks. I can’t risk that for a daily driver.
