I saw something about not being able to use Tesla chargers unless your EV6 was purchased before 9/26/24. I can’t find the article now—has anyone else seen that?
That’s a misunderstanding. The date is about whether you get a free adapter or have to pay for one.
“Kia plans to make CCS1-to-NACS adapters available to nearly all Kia EVs for charging on Tesla’s network.” Check out this link for more info: Kia Media Press Release.
I really hope that date isn’t fixed at 9/26. I literally bought mine on 9/25.

If you bought it right before the cutoff, maybe try calling and complaining! You might get lucky and score a free adapter.
@MAKENA
Haha, yeah, we’ll see! If not, I’ll just buy one. There’s a Tesla Supercharger near my work, but none near where I live, so I probably won’t use it that often anyway.

I think you should be fine. The cutoff date I saw was September 4.

Yep, that’s what I saw too. I bought mine on the 5th, so I’m good!
@Ronald
Nice! Glad to hear it!
I’m a bit confused. I bought mine last weekend, but nobody mentioned anything about this to me. Didn’t get an adapter either. What’s the deal?

Check this article: The Verge
> Kia is setting January 15th as the date its EVs will gain access to over 16,500 Tesla Superchargers. If you bought your EV9 or EV6 after September 4, 2024, Kia will give you a free NACS adapter. Existing owners will have to pay for it.
I bought mine last weekend too, so hopefully, we’re good for the free adapter!

Thanks for the info!
