Does the warranty transfer on a used 2022 EV6?

As the title says. The EV6 I’m looking at isn’t Certified Pre-Owned and has 46k miles. What warranties will transfer, if any? Or do none of the warranties transfer?

Here’s what you’re looking at. The warranties start from the original sale date to the first owner, so some might have already expired on the car you’re considering:

  • 10-year/100,000-mile Electric Vehicle (EV) System Warranty
  • 5-year/60,000-mile Limited Basic Warranty
  • 5-year/100,000-mile Limited Anti-Perforation Warranty
  • 3-year/36,000-mile Paint Warranty (likely expired)
  • 3-year/36,000-mile 12V Battery Warranty (likely expired)
  • 3-year/36,000-mile Audio/Entertainment Warranty (likely expired)

That entertainment warranty is pretty rough, considering how much tech there is in the car.

I didn’t realize there were so many different warranties! The most important one for me is the EV battery warranty, though it looks like I’ll only have about 2.5 years left on it and 12k miles. Since I only drive about 6k miles a year, that should work out.

I’m guessing the warranty coverage is the same for the Ioniq 5 since it’s a similar vehicle?
