Drove an EV6 GT — Awesome but the seats

Took the EV6 GT for a spin and it was super fun, but I found the seats a bit tight. I’m 6’2" and felt like they were built for someone smaller. How much better are the seats in the GT-Line?

I’m 6’1" and 275 lbs. The seats work for me, but the lumbar support could be better. I really wish Kia had included power/memory and ventilation for the seats, though. A lot of performance cars have those features, so it feels like a big miss by Kia. I’ve seen a lot of people saying they would’ve gone for the GT if it weren’t for those missing features.

@Nathan
Yeah, I’m one of those people. The lack of those features was a deal breaker for me.

Same here. I’m 204cm and found the GT seats uncomfortable after just 30 minutes of driving. But the GT-Line seats? I can drive for hours with no problem.

@Connie
I stuck with the GT, but those features really should’ve been standard. Some people swap out the GT seats for the GT-Line ones, and it’s not hard to do.

I’m 6’5" and 200 lbs, and I actually prefer the GT seats. It’s like a nice hug every time I get in! But it’s true, people either love them or hate them.

I like the snug sides too—I’ve driven a Viper before. But the shoulder and back support just didn’t work for me after a 30-minute test drive.

The GT-Line seats are a lot better in my opinion. They have more adjustment options, and the side bolsters might feel a bit tight, but they’re way more comfortable than the GT seats.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try the GT-Line. I hope I’m not underwhelmed by the power, though. The GT was insane in that department!

@Mark
Honestly, most EVs have great acceleration. The GT-Line still packs a punch, and unless you’re going over 100 mph regularly, it’ll feel plenty fast.

I’m 6’3" and the GT seats fit me perfectly. No complaints!
