EV6 or EV9 for my next car?

What kind of facelift is coming for the EV6? I’m leaning towards it, but the rear design is a bit of a downside for me.

Mainly a change to the headlights, but not everyone’s a fan of the new look. If you prefer the current design, grab a '24 model.

Interesting! I’m debating between the EV6 GT and a Stinger. Why are you switching?

@Connie
I love my Stinger (second one I’ve owned). But with a kid now, it’s getting tight, especially with car seats and strollers. My wife also wants me to consider something with more space for our trips!

The facelift includes a bigger battery, new infotainment with wireless AA/CP, and updated styling. Should be interesting!

The EV6 has plenty of space for most needs. If you have kids with big strollers or extra gear, the EV9 would be roomier. Also, the EV6 is more efficient and will go farther on a charge compared to the EV9.

@Thomas
Agreed! The EV6 works great for our space needs. I’ve got a 4-year-old and a newborn, plus all the baby essentials. I can fit the stroller and still do a big grocery run. Sometimes it’s like playing Tetris, but it all fits!

If I could do it over, I’d go for the EV9. But I got one of the first EV6s in early ‘22, so there was no EV9 back then.

Why not split it—EV6 for you, EV9 for the family? No compromises that way!

Looking back, I wish I’d gotten the EV9 over the EV6. The EV6 is great, but with three teenagers, the extra room would’ve been nice.

Honestly, the real answer might just be the EV5 when it’s available. :wink:

If you need that much space, there’s no getting around it. The EV9 is just bigger.

Biggest drawback of the EV9 is that for the same price, you could almost get two EV6s!

Consider used options too. The Ioniq 5 and 6 are also solid choices if you’re looking for something affordable but spacious.

I was worried about downsizing from a Passat station wagon, but the EV6 surprised me with how much I could fit. The Model Y also has a large trunk if you need more space.

I switched from a Rogue (similar to the X-Trail) to an EV6, and while the EV6 is smaller, it’s great for a 5-passenger vehicle. If you need a bit more cargo space but not as much as the EV9, maybe check out the Ioniq 5. Also, keep in mind the pre-refresh EV6 has an older nav system, while the EV9 and newer EV6s are better in that area.
