It’s kind of a well-kept secret for some reason, but they’re practically giving away the Fiat 500e (base model only) via lease until 10/31.
It’s finally priced at a point that makes sense, especially for people like me (city folks who don’t need long range or a large vehicle).
The Fiat website is super helpful, letting you plug in different down payments, lease terms, mileage allowances, etc., and it calculates payments in real time. Here are a couple of options I found interesting:
So, before taxes and fees, the total cost is about $6,875, or roughly $286/month. This is great because short-term leases with low monthly payments often come with big down payments (looking at you, Kia). It also includes a free level 2 home charger or $1K in charging credits!
Interestingly, the 36-month leases are more expensive by about $15-$25/month, and only offer 7.5K miles/year. Usually, the 24-month leases are more expensive, but here, the 24-month, 10K miles/year lease is the sweet spot. Lower mileage leases were actually more expensive, believe it or not!

Note: The link above is from October 10, so this deal might not be listed yet in the typical monthly summaries of the best EV deals and leases.
Edit: This deal is for the USA, and the specific pricing I referenced was for Washington DC, using a Maryland dealership.
Terrible deal. When they first came out, I got $110/month with $2,500 down for 3 years at 12K miles/year. I was able to get the $2,500 back from my state’s EV rebate program.

Congrats, but keep in mind we don’t all live in the same state. Your state rebate is obviously what made your deal lower.

Not a great deal, honestly. But hey, to each their own!
Okayyyy, then show me a better deal!
It is kind of a bad deal. The 2024 Equinox EV lease looks much better, and the Equinox has way better range than the Fiat (Fiat = 141 miles, Equinox = 319 miles). Range is a huge factor for me when choosing an EV.
@emma
We have a Tesla Model Y Long Range, but real-life range is closer to 280 miles, not the 340 miles they advertise. Just drove to San Diego—about 203 miles—and had 20% battery left when I got home. I was driving 80mph most of the way though, so that affects range.
@emma
I mentioned in my post that I don’t care much about range. I have a charger in my garage, and most of my trips are under 5 miles, with occasional trips up to 25 miles max. I just need a small car. I’d love the new Bolt but don’t want to wait 2 years.
Equinox lease (per Chevy’s website): $299/month for 24 months with $3,169 down = $431/month vs. $286. I’d be paying an extra $3,500 for range I don’t need. Now that’s a bad deal for me.
