First service cost for EV6? Anyone else paying this much?

Which country are you in, and how many miles do you have on the car?

I’m in Norway, and this is for the 30,000 km (roughly 20,000 miles) service.

My service was free, but I did pay $40 for a tire rotation.

What are they planning to do during this service?

According to the manual, it’s the 30k km service:

  • Inspection, adjustment, and cleaning of 8 items
  • Air filter replacement
  • Brake fluid replacement

This is the European maintenance schedule. The U.S. schedule seems a bit different.

That still seems expensive for what’s involved. The air filter is a pretty simple DIY job. Check out this video on how to do it yourself: [YouTube Link].

My 8k mile and 16k mile services were both free, just basic inspections and a tire rotation.

My first service at 8k miles was about $50, which felt like a rip-off for just a tire rotation and inspection. The second one at 16k miles was the same. The dealer wanted an extra $90 to change the cabin air filter, which I declined and did myself.

I paid $99 for my 8k mile service. They were about to give it to me for free, but I mentioned I wasn’t the first owner. Still thinking about going somewhere else for the 16k mile service.

Both my 8k and 16k services were free.

I paid AU$129 for my 9k mile service.

They’re probably refilling your blinker fluid at that price. :joy:

I paid around $25 for a tire rotation, but everything else was free. If you’re being charged $650, it sounds like they’re trying to rip you off.

$650 is absurd. All they should be doing is rotating the tires and maybe updating software if necessary. EVs need hardly any service, so avoid dealerships that try to charge this much.
