Help identifying Kia EV6 trim

If you’re in the USA, one quick way to check is by looking at the seat controls. All GT-Line trims here have capacitive touch buttons for heated/ventilated seats, which this one doesn’t have—so it’s probably not a GT-Line.

@Mark
Yes, I’m in the USA. I didn’t realize trims varied by country! Looks like my guess was right that it’s a different trim. Thanks for confirming!

Is there a table somewhere listing all the differences by trim? I tried searching but mostly found forum posts with bits and pieces.

@emma
Here’s a link to the 2024 model specs page:

It might not be too different from past years. You can change the year in the URL to 2023 if needed, but 2022 may not work.

@Mark
Looks like my question just got answered before I even asked. Thanks!

@Mark
Another giveaway is the steering wheel—GT-Line models have a flat-bottomed steering wheel, while this one is rounded. This looks like a Wind trim, which also wouldn’t have a sunroof or auto-presenting door handles. If it has the tech package, you’ll see a 360° view on the infotainment screen when in reverse; otherwise, it’s just a backup camera view.

@Peggy
Works most of the time unless it’s a First Edition or limited green edition model.

An easy way to confirm the trim is to contact a Kia parts department with the VIN. They can look it up and give you the exact trim and features.

Alternatively, you can enter the VIN on kbb.com, and it’ll show you the vehicle’s value and verify the trim.

@zendaya
I tried kbb, and it confirms it’s a Wind trim (even though the VIN doesn’t directly specify). Thanks for the suggestion!

Not sure if I can help, but I do have a question. I have the LE, and my seat and steering wheel controls are on a touch panel. Yours look like physical buttons. Did they change this at some point?

Other things I noticed:

  1. My LE, which supposedly has GT-Line interior, doesn’t have a plain dashboard.
  2. Seat heating/cooling controls are touch-based.
    Everything else looks the same.

@Imani
I also have a green LE. It’s pretty much a GT-Line interior with a Wind exterior, minus the GT-Line wheels. This one in the picture must be a Wind since it has the physical buttons for seat controls.

@jessicah
Another LE feature is that the steering wheel is round, not flat-bottomed like the other GT-Line models.
