How long are wait times for a spec'd Kia?

Hi, for those who have ordered a brand new Kia, how long was your wait?

I’m massively interested in the new EV3. I’ve never spec’d a car from new before, and definitely not an EV.

Edit: Just to clarify, I mean after you’ve placed your order, not when it releases. :blush:

Fellow Dane here.

I pre-ordered one about a month ago. I went to see it last week at the roadshow presentation and confirmed my order without even test-driving it.

Expected delivery is around the end of October or the start of November. The dealer will arrange a test drive for me as soon as they can.

Can’t wait!

The reason I asked is that Google mentioned the average wait time for the EV6 was 9-12 months, and I wanted to check. Not sure I could handle that long of a wait.

The first shipment to Denmark has around 700 units, and I was lucky to snag one. I’d recommend calling your local dealership—that’s how I got my spot.

I went with the Long Range Prestige.

I’m in Denmark. The EV3 is expected to release before Christmas.

Unless you’re after a very specific configuration, you might want to wait and grab the closest one to your ideal specs when they start showing up at dealerships.

I ordered a Volvo EX30 in September 2023, with an expected delivery in February, but didn’t get it until June. I could’ve bought an identical one from stock as early as March.

If you live on the same continent as the production site, it’s usually about 6-8 weeks.

If the car needs to be shipped by boat, add at least a month. And if there are any supply chain issues, tack on another month.
