I got the dreaded ‘stop the car, check electrical system’ warning (actually says ‘stop vehicle, check power supply’). I assume it’s either the ICCU or the fuse, but not the 12V battery since that gives a ‘12V battery low voltage’ warning.
For those who’ve had this issue, how long did it take for the ICCU part to arrive? Also, did you get a loaner or rental while waiting? I’m waiting for the tow truck now, but at least I made it home.
Same thing happened to me while I was in Florida. It took about a week and a half to get the repair done. The dealership gave me a rental, and it was all covered under warranty. Definitely reach out to Kia Customer Care and open a case with them—it really helps speed things up. It’s frustrating that a car this good can leave you stranded without warning.

Thanks for the advice! The dealer just got my car in, but they’re saying it might take a while to even diagnose it. I’ve opened a case with Kia Customer Care as you suggested. Did you handle the rental yourself and then get reimbursed, or did the dealer sort that out for you?
I’m in the UK, and after they updated the system two weeks ago, it bricked my car. They’ve told me the part is on back order, so I have no idea how long this is going to take.
Thanks! I’ll update when mine’s done. They initially told me it might take weeks, but they managed to diagnose it in a day and set me up with a rental car by Thursday. Hopefully, the part arrives Tuesday, though the holiday weekend has caused some delays. Fingers crossed I get it back mid-next week.

Good news! I got the car back this past Wednesday, so the whole thing took a little over a week. They replaced both the ICCU and the fuse. They didn’t touch the 12V battery, though. I’m still waiting to hear if they tested it at all. My service advisor is supposed to get back to me next week.
I’m in Seattle, and my ICCU failed yesterday (Sept 12). The dealership said they’d have the part in by Tuesday (Sept 17), and they promised to have the repair done by the end of the day.
If they stick to that, it’ll be a 5-day turnaround. Not too bad, I guess. They’re the only Kia dealership in the city, but they have a large service department, so maybe that’s why they’re able to get parts faster.

Here’s an update on how it all ended. They got my car in for diagnosis on August 27, and I picked it up on September 4. The Labor Day holiday delayed the part, but overall it wasn’t too bad.
