Is this a good offer for a GT-Line AWD and a Wind AWD?

I’m looking at two offers and wanted to get your thoughts:

  1. GT-Line AWD: 24/mo, 10k miles a year. Cash down: $650, Monthly: $739. They say the 36-month lease is better, and that would be $677/mo. MSRP: $59,615. Discount: $3,000. Rebate: $15,200. Adjusted price: $41,415. However, they’re adding a $3,775 care package that I don’t need at all. It even includes oil changes, and I just looked at them like… what oil changes?! After fees and tax, the balance comes to $49,147.

  2. Wind AWD: Cash down: $650, Monthly: $642. MSRP: $54,595. Discount: $3,000. Rebate: $14,200. Adjusted price: $37,395. Same $3,775 care package added in. Total price: $41,170. Again, after fees and taxes, the balance is $44,852.

They keep insisting I’m getting a deal on the care package, but I feel like they’re just marking it up and then pretending to discount it. Anyone else getting better deals or seeing these prices?

Yeah, these prices seem pretty high. Try looking at dealers within a 200-mile radius. You can likely find a 0-money-down deal or something close, especially since it’s the end of the quarter and model year. You should be aiming for at least 7% off MSRP with minimal add-ons.

People always say to avoid dealer add-ons. Tell them to remove those extras or walk away.

Yeah, they implied it wasn’t an option. One dealer even told me to ‘go somewhere else’ before giving me any numbers.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the numbers for the Wind AWD:

Cash down: $650, Monthly: $642. MSRP: $54,595. Discount: $3,000. Rebate: $14,200. Adjusted price: $37,395. Same care package at $3,775 added on. Total purchase: $41,170. After fees and taxes, the balance is $44,852.

They keep trying to convince me I’m getting a deal on the care package, but in reality, the car is still being sold at sticker price. Has anyone else seen better deals?

For comparison, I got a GT with a $63k MSRP for $550/month, zero down, on a 24-month lease in Massachusetts.

They wanted over $600 for a Wind at the dealership I visited, and that’s with just the first month’s payment down.

For me, Wind was -$350/month, GT-Line was -$450/month with only the first payment down.

Where are you located? I feel like prices in California are always higher.

Yeah, that’s per year.
