Make sure you weigh the features you give up for the GT over the GT-Line. The extra speed is fun, but consider if you’ll use it often enough to give up things like range and comfort.

Exactly. The GT-Line is still really fast, and you’re not sacrificing range or creature comforts. It’s plenty fast for daily driving.

I’m leaning toward the GT-Line for the same reason—coming from a GTI, I want some speed but don’t need to be locked into bucket seats. Still going to test drive the GT for fun though.

Honestly, you only give up a bit of range and cooled seats. These seats are more comfortable than the ones I had in my old car, even though they’re a bit tighter.

You also lose snow/winter driving mode, depending on where you live that could be a factor.

It’s AWD, and there’s a traction off button. Plus, you’ve got Eco mode for slippery conditions. I got snow tires and don’t expect any issues.

Once you get older, comfort starts to matter more than speed! That said, I still have my 7.0L supercharged Camaro…

I went from an Audi A6 to the GT. Even though the seats aren’t powered or ventilated, I don’t feel like I’m missing out. The GT is a step up in every way.

I went from an Audi Q5 Hybrid to the GT. The Q5 got me hooked on electric driving, but Audi didn’t have anything to offer when my lease ended. Got my GT last week, and the seats are super comfortable. Even with a toddler seat in the back, we’ve got plenty of space. Only thing I miss are the self-dimming mirrors.

How much did you pay and where did you buy it?

I leased it for $665 a month over 24 months with 10K miles per year. No down payment except for the first month. Got $9K in rebates from Kia and a 5-6% discount off MSRP. The dealership was Gunther Kia, and they didn’t add any packages. I’m super happy with the deal!

So you’re paying $36K to rent it for two years? That’s steep.

I think they mean 10K miles a year, not $10K a month.

Haha, yes, 10K miles a year, not $10K a month!

Congrats! What’s your experience so far? What were you driving before?

Thanks! Today’s my first official day with it, and I’m loving it so far. I came from a Stinger GT, and this is a whole new level!

I noticed you’re in Florida. I looked at some EV6s here, and all the dealers had non-removable ‘protection packages’ for $2800. Did you run into that?
