I’ve recently upgraded the audio system in my Kia EV6, and it has made a world of difference! I tapped into the factory speaker wires for my DSP, and the results have been fantastic.
However, if you’re planning an audio build, consider using acoustic treatment in the car. The interior materials reflect sound quite a bit, so this will help you get the best sound from your setup. If you have any questions about the wiring or installation process, feel free to ask!
I’m thinking of doing a sound quality (SQ) build on an EV6 GT myself. How do you think the 12V system would handle 3 or 4 amplifiers? Also, is there an optical output in the Meridian system?

I have two amps installed, and my EV6 has a 60-amp battery. Everything works well, no issues. I don’t have the Meridian system, so I can’t confirm about the optical output, but tapping into the speaker wires worked fine for my DSP.
You might need some soundproofing as the interior reflects sound a lot. Definitely a good idea to upgrade the audio system, though!

Thanks! I’m coming from an Audi S4 with a subwoofer, and I had to do a lot of soundproofing there too, so I’ll be ready for it. Good to know the 12V system is reliable. I’m considering putting the mid-bass in the kick panels, but the wiring might be in the way, so door enclosures might be better.
