Tomorrow morning, I’m driving 6.5 hours to trade in my '23 GTI and pick up a new Yacht Blue GT-Line with the Suede package. Any suggestions before driving away (besides Kia Access and Electrify America credits)? Or must-have accessories?
I’ve already ordered:
All-weather mats and trunk liner from bestevevmod
Upper and lower console trays
12v jump pack
OBD reader for ABRP
Electrician coming in late October for charging setup and generator input for V2L
The V2L output is not huge (around 2kW in the US, 3.5kW on 240V), so it’s better suited for small loads like a fridge, router, and lights rather than running a whole house.

I have the same car (Yacht Blue GT-Line AWD with the faux suede interior), and it’s been flawless after 3600 miles. I had the front end, mirrors, and A-pillars PPF’d. Added a rear mat and cargo cover from Amazon and still need to get all-weather mats.
If you don’t already have a dash cam, I recommend the FitCamX for a factory look. Or if you’re reusing an older cam, get an adapter for power from the rearview mirror instead of the cigarette lighter.

I plan to grab front and rear cams in a couple of months.

I’d wait for the 2025 version with the Tesla port. I have a '22 and look forward to the new port.
NACS isn’t a top reason to wait. There are still plenty of J1772 and CCS1 chargers around, and the key changes in 2025 will be wireless Android Auto/CarPlay and a more responsive infotainment system.
@Kenneth
All new Kia EVs after September 5th should get a free Tesla adapter, and in my area, there are about equal numbers of Electrify America and Tesla chargers.
