Rear AEB with bike rack

I’m wondering if anyone knows how to manage or disable the rear autonomous emergency braking (AEB) on the EV6. I’ve started using a bike rack, and every time I back up, the AEB kicks in and brings me to a halt. After that, I can override it, but it’s a bit of a pain.

Has anyone figured out how to avoid this?

We’re planning to try the wiring method when we install a hitch next spring.

Thanks! I’ll give that a try.

An easier solution is to hold down the parking sensor button for 2-3 seconds. A message on the dash will confirm that the parking sensors are disabled, but you’ll need to do this every time you park.

Perfect. Thanks.

After you disable the parking sensors once, they’ll stay off until you restart the car or press the button again for 2-3 seconds. I have the 2022 GT-Line, and it works this way for me.
