I had an ICCU failure on June 26. The dealer didn’t have any loaner cars available, so they told me to rent one. Kia Corporate promised to reimburse the cost of the rental. My EV6 was towed to the dealership on June 28, and it was fixed by July 9. I submitted all the paperwork for reimbursement on July 10.
I didn’t hear anything back from Kia after sending the paperwork, so I had to call them. It took a long time for the money to get approved. After that, I had to set up an account with an electronic payment system to receive the reimbursement. After jumping through all these hoops, I finally got the money on October 10, which was three months after I submitted everything.
TL;DR: You will get reimbursed for a rental car if your EV6 is in the shop for major warranty repairs, but it will take some time to get the money.
It’s annoying that it takes months, but at least if you’re persistent, you’ll get reimbursed. If you’re in the US, what number did you call to get them to finally process the paperwork?

I called the number listed at the bottom of the Kia Corporate page: 800-333-4KIA (4542).
My dealer didn’t have me pay upfront. They already had a relationship with Enterprise, so they just called them and set everything up. I went straight there to pick up the rental.

That’s the ideal situation. A lot of Kia dealerships aren’t quite there yet with customer service. They’re nice, but some of the perks you’d expect from a BMW dealership just aren’t in place.
@Connie
Yeah, I think mine had an advantage because it’s also a Ford dealership. This all happened when the dealership’s computers were down, too, so they really had to be on top of things.
