Remote commands are not available due to low battery level

Hey everyone, new EV6 owner here. FYI, the recall was completed and the 12V battery module was supposedly replaced. I usually warm the car up in the morning, but today I got this error for the first time. The main charge is at 43%, but I have no idea what the 12V level is. Any advice before I call the dealer?

Thanks in advance!

Error: “Remote commands are not available due to low battery level. Starter (12V) battery must have at least 40% charge to execute remote commands.”

You’re lucky. When it happened to me, the message just told me to take the car to service. I guess one of the systems is draining the battery faster than usual.

Good to know. Is there any way to monitor the 12V battery level? You’d think that would be available on the app.

@Connie
I use an OBDII connector to check it every once in a while, but it’s not really convenient. I wish we could see it in the app too.

Gotcha. Is there a particular OBDII connector you’d recommend?

@Connie
Mine’s an old one, but check the forum. There are a few good ones people recommend.

Thanks a lot!

Not saying it’s impossible. I just don’t know how to do it through the app.

@Connie
You might want to try a Bluetooth battery monitor. Something like this works well:

I’ll check it out, thanks!
