To what % of the battery do you charge at your usual charger?

Do you limit to 80%? Or just directly to 100%?

Just looking to have a general idea how frequently people limit the charging and how much.

And if you limit at 80%, do you open exceptions for when you travel, or still try to make it with 80% until the next charger?

This has been answered over and over. Search. Or just charge to whatever you want.

Actual answer: Most agree on 80% for typical daily use to maintain battery health. Charge to 100% whenever you need the range. Don’t overthink charging, just avoid letting the battery sit full or low for extended periods.

I charge to 70% for regular use, up to 80% the night before a trip, and then 100% right before I leave for long trips.

This is also what I do.

Check your manual. Not all batteries and cars are created equal.

I stick to the 80% limit unless we’re visiting family 180 miles away. Then I go to 100%. So far, it’s worked out great.

I charge to 90% on my Lightning, as recommended. Sometimes I go to 95%. Before trips, I go to 100%, and if I’m driving more than 50 miles, I might do 95% if I remember.

I charge to 90% for daily use and typically don’t charge until I’m around 30%. Before road trips, I always charge to 100%, even if I could make it with 90%.
