Hi everyone,
I’m planning to buy a used Ioniq 5 or EV6 and have been looking at 2022 and 2023 models. Are there any significant differences between these model years?
Thanks in advance!

They’re effectively the same car. I’m not aware of any major differences between the years. The first real update to the EV6 will come with the 2025 models and the facelift.

Thanks! That explains why I was struggling to find any differences. I noticed the 2022 Ioniq 5 doesn’t have a battery warmer, but the 2023 does. Looks like both the 2022 and 2023 EV6 models have one!

By ‘battery warmer,’ I assume you mean the battery preconditioning for fast charging in extreme temperatures. This is more relevant for public DC fast charging and doesn’t impact home charging much.
All EV6/Ioniq 5 models should be eligible for this feature as a firmware update. Late 2023 and 2024 models often have it pre-installed, but for 2022 and early 2023 models, you might need to visit the dealership for the update.

That’s great to know! I had excluded 2022 Ioniq 5s from my search because I thought they didn’t have battery preconditioning. Looks like they’re back on the list. Thanks!
One difference is that the 2023 Wind RWD can include the technology package, but in 2022 it was only available on AWD models.
Not much changed between 2022 and 2023, but the 2024 models added a charging indicator light.
The differences are pretty minimal overall.
