What to do with rear cup holders?

I’m sure someone must have asked this before, so sorry if it’s a repeat.

What do you guys do with the rear cup holders? They’re pretty useless because none of my cups seem to fit. I tried using one of those cup holder expanders, but you can only fit one that way.

Has anyone found a way to modify the holders, or is there an aftermarket option that actually works?

First world problems with cars designed for smaller markets, I guess.

I’ve only done a test drive, but standard bottles fit fine. What are you trying to put in there, a bucket?

Nope, just a regular tumbler that’s 2.8 inches at the bottom. It fits in the front but not in the back. These tumblers are pretty common.

@Kenneth
Not so common where I live! I hardly ever see them. In the Netherlands, most people use Dopper bottles, and they’re all 600ml. I think those big tumblers are more of a US/UK thing.

Makes sense, we need bigger bottles in the US since we drive longer distances.

@Kenneth
Some people really can’t handle other people’s opinions—what’s with all the downvotes?

@Kenneth
We need bigger bottles to drink more water, since we’re doing that instead of having proper healthcare!

Sounds like there’s a market for custom cup holders for the EV6. Who’s going to start the business?

Opportunity knocks!

How big do your cups need to be? I haven’t had any issues.

Let us know what you usually put in there.

Why not just use the door pockets?

That’s not really better. The angle and size of tall bottles don’t work well in the door pockets either, especially for cups.

Yeah, those door pockets are pretty much useless for anything that’s not flat.

Same issue here. Rear cup holders are just too small.

The Yeti Rambler fits in the front but doesn’t work in the back. Even my Contigo bottle, which is tall and slim (600ml), won’t fit back there.

My Mameido thermoscups fit just fine, both the 350ml and 700ml ones.

I got this on Amazon, works well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B592RKP9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The rear cupholders in my car actually slide back a bit to fit larger bottles. It works fine for us here in Canada, though we don’t have giant drinks like in the US. And yeah, we drive more miles up here too!
